Ciao! I’m Nicola, I studied design at the Free University of Bolzano, but most of what I’ve learned comes from making things by hand: sewing, walking, observing, fixing. My practice is shaped by everyday needs and a quiet attention to how things are used, carried, or left behind.
My focus is on soft-goods: bags, pouches, sleeves, often made from reused or repurposed fabrics. I like working with what’s already there. I design with simplicity in mind with the purpose of sharing the process because I believe design should empower people to make and repair things themselves.
I work through repetition. I test, adjust, remake. I let the process show me what matters. Whether I’m sewing or taking photos, I see both as ways of learning how to look more closely.
When I design I try to be grounded, transparent, and open to sharing. The things I make are meant to be used, adapted, and kept in circulation, not just as objects, but as part of a slower, more thoughtful way of engaging with the world around us.
